Last night in London...
Last night we saw "Jerry Springer the Opera". It was great! Really profane, but hilarious to see people singing opera about "I'vvvvvvvvve been seeeeeeeeeing yooooooooooour beeeeeest friend!". Its not in the U.S., but I'd expect it to come over sometime in the near future. If you liked South Park the movie, this would be right up your alley.
Today I didn't really do much. I got a hair cut and several complements! WAAAHOOOO! Other than that I didn't really do much today. Packed up and got ready to leave for Prague (we leave in 6 hours- yikes!).
Closing thoughts on London...
Its been an eye opening experience for me thats for sure. To stop and think a whole other life path exists over here is just mind boggling. To think some people over here will never experience some of the things that I've experienced living in the U.S. and things that I'll never get to experience by not living in England. This really hit me while I was riding the bus though the country side on our way back from Stonehenge. Passing all the little houses on the English country side thinking about what life there must be like. I came into this expecting London to be much like many large U.S. cities. Boy was I wrong. I heard someone say while I was here that the UK and the U.S. were "two countries divided by a common language". Thats exactly right. Even if they speak the same language the culture and daily life is vastly different.
Good bye London.
p.s. I'm not sure how easy its going to be to get 'net access in Prague so this might be my last update for a while- or at least until we get back to England.
