John's Jaunty Jargon

Well- the big trip has come to its final days. While it was happening I thought it was taking its sweet time. It didn't seem like it was going by so fast. Now that I leave in 2 days it seems like it flew by. Being gone so long I think has something to do with this effect.

Scotland was awesome, I would totally suggest people take a trip there sometime. Much better than England. The landscape is some of the best stuff I've ever seen, apart from the floor of a moving bus (inside joke). I wish we could have been in Edinburgh while the fringe festival was going on, it was just getting started while we were there/leaving. We did get to see a whole 6 hours of free jazz in the princess street park. I really enjoyed relaxing and chilling out to the live music.

We ended up having one last ha-rah in Edinburgh on Friday night- WOW were there a lot of people out! You could tell people were coming into town for the fringe festival. So after the night was over we closed the club and stayed up all night to catch our train back to London.

Our last night in London was not really what I had in mind, but it was good to just hang out- some of us went down to Westminster near big ben and the eye and laid in the grass. I would have like to hung out with other people too, but people made plans with friends that happened to be in London and others choose to continue on and travel to other places. So now I'm the only one left in London chillin' alone. I was talking to people about this and they were saying that it'll be nice to do things at my own pace, but I like having other people around that way later you have people to share the memories with. I went to see a more scientific IMAX today rather than Harry Potter that we saw in Bradford. Well- about 5 minutes into the movie I realized that I had seen it a long time ago and it was rather disappointing. I want to see the space station one and the river nile one- maybe I'll check those out when I get back to school...

After the movie I was going to go to the Aquarium, but the river path was absolutely packed so I skipped it- I'm now planning on going tomorrow sometime- maybe Monday will be less busy. I need to check the feeding times 'cause I'd like to go to the shark feedings. So my plans for my last day are a little boring. Go to the aquarium, then tube it up to the Apple center to see if they have the new displays, pick up some last minute suves, see if I can hire a cab in advance to get me to victoria station for the Gatwick express, and I guess whatever else falls in my path tomorrow.

I want this trip to be over, but at the some time I didn't want it to end. Now that all of my friends that I made on the trip are gone, I'd also like to get home. One cool thing is its not like I'm never going to see these people again. I have new friends that I'll get to hang out with at MSU in addition to my other friends already there! I feel like I've tripled my social group in 6 weeks! I'm really excited to get back to school in the fall and see what happens. I'm living in the dorms again, I have more friends, I'm working for Apple, and I have some awesome classes lined up for the fall. This last year is going to be so awesome! I can't wait!

Bring it on.
